5 DAYS RWANDA PRIMATES TREKKING TOUR | Rwanda Primates Safari

Day 1: Arrive at Ruhengeri
On arrival at the Kigali Airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park after you have had your lunch. The journey to the North goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kinigi Guest House

Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla trekking
after breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters of Parc National des Volcans. There you will be briefed by the ranger guides; with packed lunch you will then start the gorilla trekking in Rwanda through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga. Hiking and tracking gorillas may take 1-8 hours. You may have an optional ibyiwacu community walk OR a relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kiningi Guest House

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe
you will have breakfast and then drive to Kigali and later head to the Nyungwe Forest National Park, on the way visit the reconstructed King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Memoral. You will have a lunch stopover at Butare and later proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House

Day 4: Rwanda Chimpanzee tracking
after breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest at 6:00am to search for chimpanzee. You will also track the colobus monkeys in the forest and this is also a good time for the bird watchers to do their bird watching. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House

Day 5: Departure
Depart for Kigali and carry out a city tour including the market visits, handicraft shop visits, pottery projects, genocide museum visit and many others.  Transfer to Kigali Airport to find your departure flight.
