6 DAYS RWANDA CHIMPANZEE TREKKING
After breakfast you will depart from Kigali; en-route visit some historical sites on the main road like Kamegeri’s rock. In the late afternoon drive to the tea plantations to see some primates. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House
Day 2: Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trekking
after breakfast you will drive to the chimpanzee trekking point. Do the Chimpanzee trekking and after drive to Rusizi - check in and have lunch at the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel du Lac
Day 3: Transfer to Kibuye
Today you will visit Napoleon’s hut and Amahoro “Peace” Islands – Enjoy fried Kivu fish and potatoes on the island plus some cold drinks of your choice. Swimming is optional to any interested member/guest. Dinner and Overnight at Bethane Hotel
Day 4: Ruhengeri
Transfer to Ruhengeri, en-route visit the twin lakes. Dinner and Overnight at a hotel
Day 5: Volcanoes National Park -Gorilla Trekking
Early breakfast with packed lunch, start Rwanda gorilla trekking. After the gorilla trekking safari activity, refresh and drive to Kinigi cultural village to enjoy the Batwa cultural dance. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge
Day 6: Depart Rwanda
Transfer to the airport and depart Rwanda.
3 DAYS NYUNGWE FOREST CHIMPS
Day 1: Arrive in Nyungwe forest
On your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Have a visit the old palace in Nyanza on your way to the park. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House
Day 2: Rwanda Chimpanzee tracking
An early morning breakfast, and later proceed to Nyungwe Forest for chimpanzee tracking. During tracking you may come along other primates like colobus monkeys. The forest is also good for bird watchers since it’s a habitat for a quiet number of bird species Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast you will drive back to Kigali city. On arrival you will go for a city tour and visit the cultural museum in Butare- enroute. Transfer to airport for your international flight.
5 DAYS RWANDA PRIMATES TREK
Day 1: Arrive at Ruhengeri
On arrival at the Kigali Airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park after you have had your lunch. The journey to the North goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kinigi Guest House
Day 2: Gorilla trekking Rwanda
after breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters of Parc National des Volcans. There you will be briefed by the ranger guides; with packed lunch you will then start the gorilla trekking through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga. Hiking and tracking gorillas may take 1-8 hours. You may have an optional ibyiwacu community walk OR a relaxation at the lodge. Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe
you will have breakfast and then drive to Kigali and later head to the Nyungwe Forest National Park, on the way visit the reconstructed King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Memoral. You will have a lunch stopover at Butare and later proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House
Day 4: Rwanda Chimpanzee tracking
after breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest at 6:00am to search for chimpanzee. You will also track the colobus monkeys in the forest and this is also a good time for the bird watchers to do their bird watching. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House
Day 5: Departure
Depart for Kigali and carry out a city tour including the market visits, handicraft shop visits, pottery projects, genocide museum visit and many others. Transfer to Kigali Airport to find your departure flight.
